A unos 15 minutos en coche del hotel Golden Orchid Darjeeling llegarás al Parque Zoológico del Himalaya Padmaja Naidu. Además, Chowrasta está situado a unos 400 metros. El lugar se sitúa cerca de la Pagoda Japonesa de la Paz, muy popular entre peregrinos y turistas. La estación de autobuses and taxi stand está a tan solo 5 minutos a pie de del hotel.

Las habitaciones y los espacios comunes son acogedores, con un diseño que invita a relajarse. Quiero destacar la atención del personal, especialmente la de Paul, el manager, quien fue increíblemente amable y resolutivo, facilitando cualquier solicitud que tuviéramos. Aunque no utilicé el servicio de restaurante, escuché cosas maravillosas sobre la comida, que abarca desde cocina china hasta india y nepalí, y que sin duda merece una visita.
